This week we will be studying 'There is / are...'
The topic for this week is: Stress
Part 3 Roleplay:
A hard day at work / Customer service / Fight with family
This week, we will be talking about many different things, including:
Recommend a dish or snakc you ate recently / What you think is missing from Japan / Tell the class about a love of yours / Where you want to go right now / If you think dress codes should be banned / Which hobby you think is a waste of time
The topics for discussion in Talk 中級 this week are:
What your take on crytocurrencies such as bitcoin is, and whether you've ever considered investing in them / If you think homeschooling kids is better than sending them to public school / Whether you'd choose to be ginormous or miniscule if you had to pick between the two
A man recently chose to skip his niece's wedding in order to play a poker tournament in Las Vegas
Do you think this is acceptable behaviour?
The man said he had a good feeling about this particular tournament and then went on to win the whole thing, receiving $367,800 in the process. He said he could now buy his niece a better present!
Do you think in this case the end justified the means?
He did something perhaps morally questionable but can now give a better gift so the result was “good”.
What would be something so important to you that you’d miss a family member’s wedding?
Have you ever had to make a tough decision where you couldn’t decide between two conflicting things?
- 2 job opportunities
- choosing between different love interests
Have you ever just had a good or bad feeling about something? Did you follow your instincts or did you ignore the feeling?
