secured loan: (n.) a loan backed by collateral
default: (v.) fail to pay back a loan
get (something) in shape: (v.) get something in good condition
wipe out: (v.) get knocked over by a wave while surfing
co-signer: (n.) a person who is responsible for your loan if you can’t repay it
