Part 2: Enter the Dragons’ Den!
Dragons’ Den is a show where hopeful entrepreneurs pitch their ideas to experienced investors with the aim of receiving real money. Watch and take note of how the businessman explains his product.
Vocabulary:
entrepreneur: (n.) a person who sets up a business
thermostat: (n.) a device that automatically regulates temperature
come up with: (v.) think of an idea / radiant: (adj.) transmitted by radiation / synonymous: (adj.) closely associated with (something)
watt: (n.) a unit of power / retail: (v.) sell goods to the public
wholesale: (n.) selling goods in large quantities at low prices
margin: (n.) the amount of revenue left after paying expenses
