Lesson: Autocratic, Consultative, and Persuasive
This week is about different management styles. We have probably all witnessed these styles in our daily lives, but today we are going to focus on what they are, how they are different, and the advantages and disadvantages of each.

Vocabulary:
autocratic: (adj.) authority is in the hands of one person
consultative: (adj.) asking for suggestions or advice
persuasive: (adj.) able to make people agree to do something
fall in line: (v.) to conform (to do what you’re told to do like everyone else)
streamlined: (adj.) made simpler or more efficient
decisive: (adj.) quick and effectiv
top-down: (adj.) hierarchical
turnover: (n.) rate with which employees leave the company and are replaced
ultimately: (adv.) finally.
Part2: Pros and Cons
After reading the introduction, in pairs make a list of the positive and negative points of each management style.
Part 3: Discussion
Together with your classmates, have a discussion about the management styles introduced in this lesson.
