This week, we’ll look at the vocabulary needed to effectively describe a graph and what the graph is showing.
Part 1A: Vocabulary for increases and decreases
There are many words to describe an increase and a decrease. However, it’s important to know what kind of increase or decrease you are describing.
Part 1B: Vocabulary for rate of change
Adjectives and adverbs can be used to explain the rate of change.
Part 1C: Vocabulary for no change
Sometimes change does not happen over time. There are some vocabulary used to describe these trends.
Part 2: Describe the graph
We are going to look at a few graphs. Using the vocabulary discussed so far, describe the trends in the graphs. Give 2 or 3 points.
